I think i was using it around the time of minimal techno… Think i mentioned it in a video at one point. Cant remember if i actually used it.

george I went through a phase of trying yo make all my own kicks. waste of time. get a good sample pack, I’m loving the deadmou5 xfer pack just now. get your processing right, imo this will make all the differents (well did for me) ie get spl plugins, spl transient designer, twin tubes, brainwox boom for the low end etc etc. I also use NI Battrey for all my drums theses days, just really like it, I and line up a number of kicks and cycle through them with ease, changing at any point during the production. tune your samples as well, there is a tut on that in my you tube page mate. I do it for all my perc, I dont alway use SPAN but always use my ear!

Al take your word on the deadmau5 pack. Is that on loopmaster?
should be, SOR Club Revloution has some excellent kicks in it as well. I was also using freshly squeezed samples too but have more recently been using the above more. I’m actually hunting for more as we speak! 
Good idea to resample your kicks too after mastering and processing etc… Build a nice library.
Have you ever tried making a kick out of normal subtractive synths like Operator?
Have heard some people make fantastic kicks out of it, personally I cant make a good kick with them but its always worth a try?
Another kick maker thats awesome that I tried recently was AngularMomentums KicklabXXL, very impressive IMO! Just dont know how to get the pitch where I want it with that machine 
Gonna try Drumspillage out, sounds cool fully synthed and all. Kicklab still uses a sample but places it ontop of a synthesized piece.
yeah am guna give kick makin a good try but am quite lazy so if i like theses samples wayne is suggesting then the kick making idea will go out the window
