dub delay is a free plugin by mda… it got really popular because they used the delay buffer in the same way a tape delay worked… you could saturate the feedback then mess with delay times to create great risers.
I made this with paul (psycatron) few years back… loads of the mda dub delay in the break
the MDA plug in is aces.
Also it’s very much worth checking out this site: The Dub Scrolls - A collection of Dub production techniques
It’s purely about dub effects and they have loads of free vsts, including tape delay plug ins availble.
I use the Analogic delay from there in pretty much everything I do, sometimes pair it with the old classic delay Kajerhus. It auto synchs, and you can quickly re-set the timings witha slider instead of having to work out timings or stick to preset quarters etc…
I also use the echolive for DJ’ing out, i run it inside Plogue bidule and run the signal in via an external soundcard
Thanks for the advice and web links.
There was a youtube vid with pitch black from New zealand and theyre advice on how to create the delay with purely ableton plugs. I’ll try to find the link and post it here.
btw those mda plugs are wicked!!!
thanks once again
