Eguitar

while experimenting with distortion effects i came across this eguitar sound. lots of distortion, amp simulation, saturation effect, etc. first i thought it sounds pretty nice, but after listening to it for three days and moving sliders up and down i can’t tell anymore if it’s not just tacky. would appreciate a second opinion that hears the song for the first time.

honestly, is it more this: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-SuHi-JBEDaE/TZZRJh9kDtI/AAAAAAAAAaE/jBfeCXeJFNE/s640/wolf-pup.jpg

i like it. i personally dont think its tacky. its very 80s but i think its cool

I like the general idea, vibe, atmosphere, melody, chords and whole song, but think guitar is too too bright at times ,almost to hurting point (using iphone headphones so take it with reserve). Maybe to warm it up little  When that bass kicks in @3:44 i felt great relief on my ears.

yes. listened to it again in the office with different headphones and it’s way over the top.and looking now at the effects settings, saturn saturator with +8db on everything from 400hz upwards, then runciter filter with an unhealthy resonance, eq boost on 1.5khz, into ultramaximizer, that’s sporty. weird how numb and indifferent your ears can get when listening to the same song over and over again.
