Electro Bass Help

I was wondering if anybody could point me in the right direction as to how to make electro basses such as the one in that comes in at 1:08.

Do you think its just breaking the synth down into your return tracks and adding effects or maybe resampling?

It seems so simple, but the result is so drastic. These electro basses are huge and bring your whole track together. I would imagine you could start off with a simple saw wave and maybe a sin pitched down to cover the low’s. Ive tried multiple times to get a bass such as this using both techniques but can’t seem to get it right. Any ideas?

watch the glitch house tutorial, then experiment using those techniques. really all there is to say I think. flaxo has a lot of tips in the multiple electro house threads in the tutorial requests section, check those out.

Ive already watched the glitch and have been trying resampling as well as sending the different bands to return tracks.

I’ll check those out though, thanks.

Thanks man i appreciate the help. I checked out flaxo’s thread and got some very helpful hints. Went ahead and got ohmicide and used that for distortion plus I used return tracks and got some nice fat bass. Thanks!
