does any one know how to emulate the loop cutting effect of a cdj in abelton eg. can it be done with beat repeat?

interval set to 1/4
grid set to 1/24
variation 5
Gate to 4/16
Hit the no triplets tab and in the variation box set to 1/4
then play with settings to suit
