Energy after a breakdown

I’ve been following the Progressive House tutorial lately and especially the delay riser on the breakdown. I used that on my track but here is my problem.br
br
Delay riser gives a nice energy rise up on the breakdown but when the song hits, the energy is not equal to the rising feeling it gives. When the song hits instead of that punch, the song doesn’t have that energy so it feels like meh…br
br
Here is a a bit old but earlier version of the song;br

I would also appreciate any comment and feedback on the mixing of the track.

Your Bass is very loud compared to your kick… turn it down and try more side chaining.br
br
Also you need some sort of a crash on the first kick… you have the clap thing going just before the beat… try coping it on the beat as well… also a white noise crash or something similar that is side chained will give you more energy.

I will fix the kick and the bass and try the crash and clap thing as well and upload a new mix. Thanks for the feedback Phil.

Here is the final arrangement;br

wow sounds much better… really love the groove too … that synth line is so funky… i could listen to it all day. I love the subtle variations in it… very cool.br
br
I would fade the big white noise hit over its duration so its not so noticeable dropping out.br
br
Also some more smaller fills in the main sections would help to keep it energized… you could also play with bring in more top end drums in those sections half way through just as pick ups… maybe a subtle shaker or a ride.

I’ve added a shaker on the main sections and did the fade on the white noise, sounds really good. You give awesome feedback Phil, and love these samples you guys released. My drums, claps and all from Sonic Academy Pack.br
br
I will try to add drum fills and such now to make it more interesting on small breaks and such.br

What can I say, I love SA!
