I’m gonna get banned now, it’s been nice knowing you slags

LOL & Slag off

Slag off in Ireland means: Talking Sh!t about someone behind their backs… slagging someone off…

Usually its just messing about… slagging someone here is taking the p!ss out of them.

People in Ireland would call you a cnut to your face while making a joke about you, then say afterwards - “I’m only slagging ya!”

Lots of slagging on SA.

Dunno if that meaning is in the UK as well… or if its just Ireland.

lololol. well. 2 me it just sounds like saying f0ck off. thanks for the cultural explanation. ;):P:D:hehe:

so ummm. essential mix anybody?

slag it. :Whistling:

Mate, we’re giving you the cultural references cos you’re a mushroom

Not listened to one of these for ever!

I remember being blown away by the Slam EM about 7 years ago, and also the Kraft Kuts one.

I’m pretty sure James Zabiela’s mix was wicked too. Had Daleks in it, can’t go wrong there.

Something I still like is “rob da bank” caught bit of it thins morning before work

The blue room with Chris Coco & RTB - Cool music.

Dont know if thats still what it is - but Chris Coco’s voice used to worry me

Oakies mix was probably thee most famous essential mix of all time. What music was he playing again??? Also how many techno shows are on radio one these days? Wasnt the last techno dj on radio one Fergie? Whatever happenned to him, oh I wonder…

What was that?

I thought I heard something…

I think thats the sound of reality bitch slappin you in thew face ICN…

No… there was a bad smell too: I think it was a fart I heard.

Is this how we judge music now? By how much of it is played on Radio 1, or by how many people like it?

That is fine for pop music, but it doesn’t really seem relevant to the music I like. Mass appeal is fine for the masses, but it certainly doesn’t make it better.

im suprised Jan is rooting for jokenfold. I always thought he was 1 of the worst DJs ever.

and i thought most trance people hated him. what do i know i guess!

on a side note… but it kinda makes sense …

the coolest party I’ve ever been 2 (and I’ve been to a bunch) was a BBC party.

It was during the WMC like 2 or 3 years ago. I forget because I drink a lot…

But it was the BBC Radio One Pool Party @ the Surfcomber… lineup was

Eric Prydz

Pete Tong/Annie Mac

Cedric Gervais

Deep Dish

Steve Angello

Sebastian Ingrosso

Axwell

and a few others I forget…

It was insane! By far one of the wildest parties i’ve ever been to.

The essential mix that week was done by Deep Dish live from the party @ wmc.

Definitely an awesome essential mix. 1 of my favs.

No offense but Oakie in his prime was one of the best. He gave the world balearic dance music with ATB 1999 was the year and Oakie was leading the charge. What he does now is down to drugs.
