You will have to forgive me for being a bit behind but i discovered this track in this months Computer Music on how to make Hit songs. I just have to say i really like this track, another simple riff that is awesome and i have to say UP to Michael Woods.
Awesome track!
He had a lot of dance producers work on the album. A def trend…

I do like that track though. Great riff and the lyrics hit the nail on the head for pretty much everyone at some point in their lives.
I dont really get the video tho, i mean you have like these big synth hooks and big electronic basslines following along a drum computer and then you have a band playing in the background…
Its like videos made for famous DJ’s where there just stood behind a pair of decks jumping up and down.
Is this really how fickle the general public is?
Also i dont really get this Example, is he just a guy who gets DJ’s to make tracks for him to sing over?

Maybe you’ll get another example? do you want me to post a link?
Tbh I do actually like his voice and his lyrics. I think its cool to see a singer getting his tunes produced by dj/dance producers. It makes a nice change from the ****ty pop music song writers coming up with annoying tunes over and over.
Should definately check out Midnight Run by Example, produced by Feed Me/Seventh Stitch/Spor/Gooch (All one person :P)…
Definately his best track, maybe not in terms of lyrics (still think his collab with Skream - Shot Yourself In The Foot Again is his best there) but definately in terms of production quality…
I think he takes waay too much creds for his tracks, the least he could do is mention the producers names in the title, these arent small producers doing it, these are some top guys working on his stuff and I think he owes some of his success to that…
Yeah wrll when I think of Changed the way you kiss me I ignore the title and just see Michael Woods ft Example - Changed the Way You Kissed Me.
Glad my article helped you discover something new. The track went number 1 here apparently, and in my mind largely due to Michael Wood’s part, but a shame that if you didn’t know better you’d think Example did all the work.
I think Michael Woods is one of the best melody writers out there. Search youtube for M1 -Heaven sent and listen to the Michael Woods club mix. Listen to the melody.
He needs to go back to trance lol…
