Love this, amazing how much it brought that sparkle in the top end out.
I use saturater but haven’t ever used it in this way, really nice idea. Will definitely be applying this.
Thanks Sonic.
Try to use an exciter in more than just this fashion. I pretty much use Vintage Warmer and/or Saturator on everything.
very cool trick and yet another great tutorial from SA.
Yeah man just seen it ,good stuff!
i think the last two tech tips have been really good.if been using the crap out of the scale plugin, it also helps fill the gap between the htsl or other tuts. good work guys and keep em coming

I also agree! It taken my tracks to another level. Keep them coming SA.
very useful tutorial thanks SA
A good tip indeed.
I’ve often heard about exciters and their uses but never really knew the technique and how to knock one up in Live.
yeah I’ve not checked this out yet but if it does replace the need for a standalone exiter it will be useful for the trance tutorials as I noticed they use the bbe sonic maximiser.
Will try to check it out this week.
it was marvy…
The sound in the middle and high frequencies is much more dynamic without raising the volume with this technique… it’s really interesting how you can keep it clear with low settings and distorded with higher settings !
Thanks a lot for this very useful tech tip ! I applied it to one of my tracks and it’s really amazing how it sounds better. The funny thing is that i really liked this track before… and now, when i mute the exciter, it sounds really crappy to me…
I talked to my buddy yesterday, and he mentioned to me an interesting point. You should try not to use an exciter too much. you should try to create the same sound without an exciter first.
I imagine its like most other techniques, you learn it, do it to death then in time learn when to and not to use it in the future.
Good source material always out ways any kind of treatment needed later for a good solid sound throughout a track.

Yup
i use cubase and dont have an enhancer plug in like Exciter . do you guys suggest any other PLug in maybe similar to the Exciter?
hey ali, all they were using as an exciter was an EQ and a Saturator. I don’t have Cubase. Do you have a Saturator at all?
well i think i only have an enhancer in Cubase but is like Tube distortion Plug in , and i dont think that PLug in Create Enough harmonics like the Exciter . but do you know any Freebies?. I was looking to buy vintage warmer Plug in but kind of short of cash nowadays.
