Just listened to it there Wayne. Its a cool idea & all… but I think you sound a bit (sorry for the slightly negative word…) desperate. I’m not saying you are Mate… just the tone of it comes over as.
You mention support about 3 times… and I dunno… it doesnt sound very cool.
Maybe thats just me… but I’m just going on the impression that I get from your tone & use of language.
Maybe something subtler would still do the same job - yet come over as being a bit more spontaneous & natural. Just a thought Mate - Hope you dont mind the feedback.

Aslo I so used to working in a professinal environment I find it hard to turn of my “telephone” voice when doing these kinda things!

Wayne ever since meeting you in Ibiza i’ve thought you were a top lad and clearly very passionate about what you do and your music, you are also a regular poster on the SA forums and i like to think of you as a friend, so for these reasons alone i have supported and will continue to support you 100%.
I do agree with what ICN said though, I get what you’re trying to do, but it’s better to just make it direct and to the point like an advert, rather than asking for support. Comes across much more professional that way.

never looked at it that wat! your right there. thinkin cap on! I’m gonna take it done and make it into an ad style thing in that case.

Just plug what you got going on, what’s coming up, then finish things up with a URL. Don’t bother listing them all, just your website which should link people to everywhere else anyways.
Think of the differences between a charity advert and that smirnoff clubbing ad campaign that happened recently.
You’re not asking for people to give £2 a month, you’re building anticipation and excitement for something that’s happening soon.
On that note, this might make you chuckle

Next step is to send out the mailer which I’m working on now.
Got 413 emails for it to go to so far. If you’ve not bothered to go to the web page and submit post it here and I’ll add you to the mailer or sign up on facebook (and like too)
If anything if may give some ideas etc… proactive is the way forward I think.
Mailer should be going out tonight!
Next is track selection for the podcast of which I plan to include my own tracks saying when there out, what label and where to buy etc etc. I’ve never used ableton for a DJ set but I’m also going to try that, not sure about it however as I love to use a DJ mixer…
I’m gonna fire more email to labels re the podcast cause I dont have enough promos coming in just now. I’ve got 2 mates who I’ll set up with email inboxs to sort the good from bad, this is also prep to start a label next year…
Myspace need to be do this week too!
I’ve been at this since friday, doin my web page etc etc, up till 6 am then sleep till 10 then back at it! back to work tomorrow so needs to be done! Hard work but I have plans! big plans!!
Going down this path as I think its worth a shot as well, and more of my own ideas in the mix!!
