I’ve been working with wordpress and nimbit over the last few days to build my homepage which intergrated with fanbook, twitter etc etc. What to you think? http://www.waynefontaine.co.uk
I like to online shop it gives you under discography (just dont mention the laws I’m braking there hehe) and a shop on your facebook fan page if you wanna sell any of your unsigned tracks.

Now I’m intergrating mail chimp into it all!! A lot of work but once its done its done!

I checked your site Wayne it looks good. The only thing that worries me is your Armin van Buuren remix. Are you actually selling it!!! Or is it up for a free download? If your selling it and Armada find out you may get prosecuted for a seriouse trademarl infringement which falls under profiting from somebody elses trademark without permission. This is pretty much the hardest most legally bend you over and rape you type of trademark infringement there is…
Yeah Jan is right, you could get seriously f*cked for it mate and it could seriously damage your name as an artist as well.

hummm yeah that a good point… still figureing out the site at the mo, I want it up there but I dont want people to be able to down it, the other 2 are samples but I could figure out how to put anything up with download disabled or with a price.
Will get it fixed soon, wouldnt wanna damage my name as a artist!

This kinda goes hand in hand with my setting up a record label. It would be sooo easy, really thinking about it now, I know 2 guys who would do all the A&R for free, I would double check of course… I can just see potentail to make a few buck with doing almost nothing!

not that hard mate, a bit of reading, a good template. you dont need to know any html or css etc. plugins do most of the work.
best bet it to use a thing called nimbit - google it and try the freeversion. if it wasnt for that my site would still look like ****e!

Well I used to do some html which was pretty straight forward just the graphics is where I would let myself down
I checked out the nimbit when you first mentioned it looks cool

Was supposed to be a cool way of everyone on SA (regulars, occasionals and forum lurchers) to get involved and spread the word!

I have a page, but it’s just a personal one. I haven’t got around to making music lately much less needing an artist page ATM! You’re already on my page Roben. Anyone else that wants the info, just PM me and I’ll link you up. Last time I just put my page out there, it took me two weeks to clean it back up. Maybe I do need an artist page…
