And the rest of your lists - I am already going back to them
Hey guys!
I have looked all over the website and i love what Sonic Academy do. And I really want in on making/producing music.
I have one problem though, At the moment I have cubase 5, and ableton live suite. And I would really like to produce in the genre between trance and progressive house. But I dont know which software to use. I have been using ableton for a while and I have gotten used to it really well, infact that well I have managed to make my own song. but looking at the tutorials I see an awsome difference between them both, and can learn more in what gets tought.
I am wanting to start up with Sonic Academy officially, maybe someone can help me out on which one you would recommend to use? and point me in the right direction to follow the expert skills to lead me to the right place of mind.
Help me out!
Rhys
Albleton live gives you much quicker results but lack a bit in the arranging/mixing dept.
I’d go with ableton

Cubase (especially version 6.5) is ridiculously powerful and complete. It’s also unintuitive, finicky, and complicated- and not nearly as commonly used for electronic music these days as Live. I love and use both programs, but if you’re learning how to do dance stuff, Live is where it’s at. Most of Sonic Academy’s dance tuts (and most YouTube tutorials) are Live based, anyway.
Thanks guys thats great.
I shall get started in the tutorials. I feel that ableton has been easier to you use and learn from.
also can I ask, Do you guys use ANA synth? and is it any good?
At the moment I use Massive Native instruments, Nexus2, and Lennar Digital Sylenth and they are doing it well for me.
