Do we REALLY need this? There is already an Ableton course that teaches you from the ground up to create a full track. I know, i used it having absolutely NO idea how to use Ableton. It’s a beginner course!!

What a waste of valuable tutorial recording time. Please scrap this and use the time to create Synthesis and/or HTSL dubstep / techno tutorials.
Thankyou.
Totally agree
+1 i bought this course myself before subscribing to s/a cant understand why it needs covering again between the already done beginners course and the rest of the tutorials there’s more than enough to keep beginners happy and i know because i was one six months ago lol;)
gotta say after checking out what intro was on the ableton website (basically a cut down version of live) i have to agree with the above

Totally, it’s like re-hashing old ground just because we’re now on Live 8 instead of 7 for example.
The principles can mainly still be applied so this ‘beginners course’ really is a pointless waste of time.

i did this course five or six months ago using live 8 and had no problem whatsoever correct me if i’m wrong but the differences between live8 and 7 dont even come into play in the existing beginners course so it can still be followed easily making it pointless redoing it now…
+1 Its a waste of time as there is plenty of beginner courses already uploaded to the site.
hi guys,
a user of ableton Intro cannot follow the ableton beginners course because it is a very limited package.
we are making a whole host of beginner introduction packages that will include all of the entry level programs using the same principles throughout.
so the course that is created for ableton intro (which will be a short course)
will also be used to create various other DAW’s that we have not covered.
we currently have no courses for fruity loops / cakewalk / sequel etc. and as we are aiming to be the best and provide the most, we must fill this void also.
so the time spent on this ableton intro course will also be contributing to many more courses.
Hmmmm…the words ‘rope’ ‘from’ ‘money’ and ‘old’ spring to mind…
I would wonder if someone who won’t even bother to get the full version of ableton would pay the money to sign up to a site like this anyway,i’m sure you’d get a lot more new customers doing something unique like a techno htsl instead.

Then use the time doing OTHER DAWs then. Ableton Intro seems pointless as it’s just a cut down version of live 8. I’m pretty sure i could pick it up and my own skills of ableton have been learnt from this websites tutorials! (bar the odd few bits here and there)

bry everthing i have learnt has come from sa and the beginners course (then obviously the htsl’s after) yes it is fairly limited but then the htsl’s fill in the gaps after i think your time could be better used doing a beginners course for another daw which in turn would also attract more subscribers…
