Flux Pavilion - Bass Canon

Or any just LOUD n’ NASTY Dubstep style Track that isnt like all upbeat. More Headbangery… haha

ugghh this is the same track as the tutorial . not to be a **** head but i wasn’t expecting to listen the same track as the tutorial.

Great job do .just sounds like exactly like in the tutorial

What tutorial?

Oh that track in the sig. I gotchya… Ya i uploaded what i had from the tutorial as the preview, mine is much much different, but since i started from what i made from the tutorial, i figured i would just put this up as a preview. Im putting mine up pretty soon cause i still have a lot more changes i wanna make to the dubstep part, but ya no i know what you mean, your right, its what i ended up with from the tutorial… right off the back.

nice. yeahh well i am not a Dub step producer but i learned alot from that tutorial .

I usually dont copy what they doing , i just mess around with my own interpretation. using different Keys signatures,. synths and other stuff.

this is what i made watching that tutorial.

Massive + Sine + any other wave on formant mode + LFO

not a wobble, but dynamics of a full track.

Nice! I like it! Ya I could really use some help with that… How to build really my own track, but not drift too far off from the tutorial to where i get lost. I have so many ideas and sounds in my head, but im not sure how to put it down… and for all types of electronic. I pretty much love it all, and when i wanna make a certain track its like i get kinda lost in the process and i dont know what to do next or when to arrange and so on… One of the things i really loved about that one tutorial though, is the re-sampling technique they demonstrated. I NEVER knew about it, and thought it was really really cool and can really diversify a sound or loop especially for glitch. :w00t: anyways… any tips?

i know exactly where your coming from man, all the tools are really on this site, but again it is tough to build a strong foundation to build off of, especially when your lost on where to start and how to go fourth when building a track

YES! I mean when I try to really do my own thing, i never know what to do next… I wish there was a tutorial on how to help us with this problem ha. But i guess that would defeat the reason behind selling these videos under a subscription… Doubt Sonic Academy would go there considering it’s our confusion that makes up buy subscriptions and continue with them… ~_~

most people might know how to process the sounds but they cant even finish or translate a original Idea. so my advice is just make Music. practice to make your tracks first , then focus on processing later on .

copying some tracks sometimes is a way to go . but there will be a point where you will need to learn how to apply the techniques learned in your own ideas.

takes times . Producers try to learn something new everyday .

to get to their level you will need to study , practice , alot.

IMO you will never stop learning . but the basics like Making Music is a must first.

to make this dubstep i first made a midi file with my piano . chords then after that i processed the way they showed in the tutorial.

still i am not happy with it .

Wow, that actually makes sense, so your saying i should write a track first with the knowledge i already have and then go in and adjust the sound of the track and the processing techniques of the different channels according to the tutorial? That sounds like a good idea! Ill try that! I think for me there is two kinda difficult barriers im struggling to get over… One is I hate how awful the sound of my tracks are when i just go off what i already know. And it really bothers me because I have been studying and practicing for a long time now and i feel like the results (sound wise) arent very great if you know what i mean, but i know thats just a personal thing that i need to get over and just let my brain do its thing, then adjust later. And dont get me wrong, I LOVE just learning and learning about producing, i really do, I can watch videos and read about it for days, I love it! Its just that starting from scratch, "oh sht, where do i begin" thing… So thats where the second barrier or challenge I run into comes into play, which probably is due to the fact that its the sub topic of producing electronic music that i know least about, the arrangement of a track or song writing… I can make cool sounds or drum loops, or effects all day, but when it comes to writing a track like with the “bridge” and “chorus” and all that stuff, I dont know anything and/or where to learn. I make an intro and then im F**ed… Do you know where i can learn the basics of song writing on here, or the best tutorial on here for it, or your own thoughts? That would be much appreciated.
