Hi all,
im new to the site i found this site via youtube and signed up straight away for the Trance Tutorials and Music Production Videos.
But when i watch most of the videos online i cant see a control bar in my Firefox browser so i cant rewind the video back when i miss something?
PS Apologies of this has been asked before.
Any idea why.

Ditto to all of this, it is what I use also, and the video’s do not play properly for me. I open it, it plays and stutters the whole way through, can’t understand a word you say, we can’t download the video’s, and this is what I payed for, I payed to be able to watch them and I can’t, wtf… Please do something!!! And also its not my internet connection, I can download 350+kbs…
Edit----- Well, now I just tried more video’s and now they are working properly, weird. However, the player with no transport does still suck:w00t:

Thank you much for the quick replies, I will try the black bar fix tonite. By the way, Aces on the Swedish House tutorials, that was awesome, I like being able to view the whole project here at home and being able to watch you go through it. Sweet, can’t believe I didn’t come here sooner. Good Job

Well the black bar fix, it worked for me, and so I began watching video’s again. The last 2 days, I have watched all of the Trance and Sweedish House tutorials, and they worked perfectly. I was very happy, learned alot, it was great. Now, the weird thing is, last night, I went out to the bar, and I was telling my musician friend about your site, so I say hey, you should check this out, so he comes over, I go to show him just the first video in the Swedish House tutorial to show him how cool it is, and guess what, the video starts skipping again. Now what makes this really weird is, my black bar thing is fixed, so now I can see the buffer. Well, the whole video was buffered, meaning it wasn’t downloading anymore, hence , it should not have been skipping, but, it was. So I am very confused, and a little frustrated, cause now I wonder, when you guys finish the trance tutorial, I wonder if thats gonna start skipping on me, I really wanna watch that one. And also that was a great first impression for your site to my friend.(sarcasm). Anyway, I don’t know what you guys can do about this, I hope something.
Also, any idea when the trance tutorial is gonna be finished to watch? My biggest problem in making music is finishing tracks and well I really would like to see that tutorial finished, so I can get an idea how you would finish the song.
can’t understand why it would be doing that if it has fully buffered, other than maybe your buffer bar is just not accuratly recording how much it has actually downloaded, when it skips, can you rewind it to the start and hit play. tell me does it skip in the same part of the video or do you get further and then start to skip, i.e. catches up with the buffer again?

Yes, I tried that, rewinding it, and it still skipped at the same parts, however, since then, I have restarted my whole system and watched a couple more and they were fine. It is very strange indeed, I’m pretty sure its not my system though, I never have this problem on any other site, and I watch lots of video’s.
it does sound like its a bit of a problem between 64 bit system and quicktime.
how do you find quicktime players on other sites?
try apples HD video trailer site, i think they use quicktime vids
I just watched this http://www.apple.com/iphone/gallery/ads/#skateboard-hd , and it played perfectly, then I watched your sidechain tutorial and it was skipping again. This is baffling me. oh and the apple vid that I watched, I made sure to watch in HD, played perfectly.

you say the sidechain one was skipping?
thats even weirder because it is running from a completely different server.
can’t think what it would be, is there anyway you can screen grab what is going on so i can have a better guess?

I tried all the video’s on that link you gave me, and they all played fine. I have a screen recorder program somewhere, I could try to capture it, I gotta find the program though, it might take a little while, plus last time I used it, I had problems recording the sound, like it would only record my mic inputs, not what I was playing on the computer. Let me see if I can get it to work.
But regardless, this whole situation is weird. I watched all of the “How to sound like trance” and “Swedish house”, they all played fine, but, when I watch the short ones that u make, like sidechain, isolating kicks, there a bunch that skip, but, the big ones don’t really skip, anyway, let me see if I can find a way to capture it.
