** First Live Broadcast - Wed 18th**

We are going to run a test broadcast just to test things are all working properly on Wed 18th @ 8pm for a couple of hours.

Chris Agnelli will be joining me for the first one.

We have not set a topic yet so let us know what you are interested in finding out… IF you want us to review your track or try to make a sound or anything about the tutorials you dont understand.

We will run a live twitter chat on the night too so you can ask questions then too. We might even take skype callers if we can get the tech set up.

I assume you mean Wednesday 16th May lol, because the 16th this month is a Monday :stuck_out_tongue:

what you on about!

This sounds great! I will be attending! I have a few synth sounds I have been puzzling over, and am just finishing off a track, if you want to give me feedback on that haha

Yeah post your links here to the sounds and your tracks.

I know trance might be more the focus as you’ve got Chris Agnelli coming in but I’d love to know more about the synths in this song and how they are made. There’s various synth lines layered up and I think it sounds incredible. These synths could be used in alot of genres as well I think.

It’s Todd Terje: Inspector Norse

Thanks

Alan

The whole “Its the Arps” EP was made on an ARP 2600:

That’s great Ant, cheers.

Have you tried the emulators, are they any good? I wouldnt have a clue how to programme one but withh 400 presets it might be worth a bash.

if we can’t watch it live will it be recorded so we can go back and watch??

Do you need a gold or silver subscription to watch the stream or can registered users watch too?

The first one will be for subscribers only as its really about testing the tech and seeing whats working… then we will be doing some for registered and some exclusively for subscribers.

Is there going to be live text chat?

I’ll have to have one eye on the football and the other on the beats tonight!

Yeah there will be live chat through twitter and comments on the video page.

I have to admit I am actually really excited about this…

What DAW will ye focus on as I am assuming Chris will be on logic and yourself on ableton???

If you guys are still looking for tips to discuss for tonight, I would love to hear your thoughts on how to create this bassy synth from “Build Up” by Chris Lake. Its starts from about 1 minute and is introduced in the first break as a sort of bass pad.

I have heard similar sounds in a few tracks recently. Sounds to me like a distorted saw, but I still cant seem to nail it. Feel like maybe I’m missing something?

Anyway here is the link

Any one want to submit tracks to be analyzed, previewed, fixed etc.?

Submit soundcloud links.

or if you have an ableton project that is only using Sylenth or ANA we could look at the whole project and do some live mixing, tweaking for you.

I wouldn’t mind some feedback on this:

What plugins did you use for this? we could maybe look at the project?

I’m not at home to be sure but I think it’ll have been massive, sausage fattener and then just Ableton.

How would I send a project to you, I’ve never done that before?

Actually come to think of it I think I bounced the synth lines down, I’ll have to check I still have the midi.

just do a collect all and save then zip the project folder upload to sendspace and give me the link.

Might be interesting to try.

or we could save it for another show
