I have done a couple of course here and started my own track after finshing them. I feel like I have gotten to the point where I need a fresh set of ears on how it sounds and what I can change. I feel like i need to work on intro/exitro, and mixing a bit so advise there is helpful as well.br

Any advise you can give on the track, synths mixing, arrangement is appreciated as wellbr

it sounds like youve run the whole thing through a distortion pedal… i would ease back on what ever overdrive/distortion/compression you have going. then i will listen again.
Ok phil i believe I have fixed it, it looked like it was a problem on my mastering chain. I also changed the bleep around as well since i didn’t like the sound on that.br

Its sounding much cleaner now, but if it still sounds distorted here is my current mastering chain, Gain-SSLComp-LinphasEq-Ozone5-Oxford limiter, since that is what I would guess my issue would be. br

turn all yu mastering off for now so i can get a better idea of you mix first… when that sounds good then we can work on mastering.
Alrighty, I have turned off the mastering chain, and reuploaded it.
Not a bad effort that to be fair mate. Could definitely use more variety in the different sections though. The main hook is playing throughout pretty much, it’s a decent little melody but too much of it is overkill. Try keeping that for the drop alone maybe and figuring out either a variation for the intro/outro or a simpler version. Also, when you bring that other lead sound in halfway through the first drop I think it could really benefit and lift the track with a clever counterpoint melody used for that sound instead of just mirroring the 1st melody. Just some idea’s though

So i’ll go back and see what I could do with the layering. I was also figuring a arp would help alot to just need to figure out where to put it.br
