Me and my buddy haven’t made a track in a while but we finally got a little something. Let me know if you like it or hate it I appreciate all criticism :)br

Yeah i really like this actually.br
br
Good sounds, fit well together, nicely balanced mix, lots of punch and energy.br
br
I like it.br
br
I like, synth at 3min have a reference no ?
Hi James, yeah I agree with Dave. I really love the groove of the track and it all sounds really clean and tight. The grizzly bass is a little too overpowering for me though, I think it needs to be knocked down a touch as I couldnt hear any of the other stuff that was going on when that was playing.br
br
I am only listening to it on bog standard skull candys at the mo though so it might translate better on my speakers, but we’re in the process of redecorating at the mo so that isnt an option :crying:br
br
I really like the filtering that you’ve got going on in the breakdown, it works well with the plinky melody that comes in. What filter are you using for that?
Appreciate you guys taking the time to listen!br
br
Thanks dave…After our last song we finished I realized we just had too much going on. So when I started this one I came in with the mindset that 1. I really wanted the kick to stick out and 2. everything was going to fit nicely into the spectrum and be friends with all the other sounds it works well particularly with the bass sound with a reallllly heavy side chainbr
br
chaisneau - Thanks! I’m going above and beyond for you cause you’re new :)br
br
Here’s a playlist of the individual sounds in the synth…and here’s a download of them in C3. Theres no reverb cause I figured you would want to do something differentbr

br
en1gma - Appreciate the feedback man! I honestly thought it was a little to loud as well I’m gonna notch it down a db or two…Sorry about your room dude that sounds AWFUL lolbr
Other then a fabfilter eq on it all thats running is an Ableton auto filter! :hehe:br
br
I think what really adds to it, which you don’t really here in the top one because of the fat *** bass, are these pads/pianos with an auto pan and simple delay…my buddy always goes wild with them hahabr

I love you all.br
Amazing Repost.br
br
i Just can say ok :)br
like a big modular with 5 Amplifiers.br
br
You said no reverb cause of me, you want that i try to do something with it ? i can… so i supposed, individual effect for every one and no routing group to it ? Right ? Or more for a compressor.br

br
And you all speak about this “Ableton auto filter!” I’m on cubase no equivalent. I think, i hope… its a filtrer with on lfo to Moove frequencies cut. that it ? I havent see that in cubase, i dont know if i have some descent basic filtrer in cubase set. I use some from, Wave (gold bundle), but no lfo to control. Pretty hard to find, Like yours start point to Midi/sampler ! Oh that is amazing, i have that on Wave Lab from Kontakt to samplers, but not in midi. it’s ok i prefer cubase… But this 2 ableton stuff are so good.br
You maybe have a plug-in to me for auto filtrer ?
I just put the synth sound in a quick little C3 stab for you to use in the download link…I figured you would want a dry sample so you could apply your own reverb etc…I can put my reverb on it for you if you’d like but its just a large plate Lexicon reverb…that should be all thats missing! Glad you appreciate it :)br
br
Edit: Auto filter could easily be recreated in an automated low pass or high pass EQ…I’ve never used Cubase before so sorry I can’t help you more but heres a Sonic Academy video showing/explaining auto filter so you can get an idea of what it isbr

br
I dont think that is possible to automated the Cubase Eq, I will check it.br
If it’s just automated lowhight pass i see what it is.
jamesXarnold (06/10/2013)
Check out this I think it might help you!
br
br
Like that sure. i can do it.br
br
But in this plug you have an lfo, that you can synchronize with tempo. isnt it an Auto filtrer ?br
br
Look my 2 more sophisticate filtrer : br
br
No lfo oscilator to synchronise an sine with tempo.br
br
–br
br
Edit :br
That an auto-panbr
br
I can synchronize pan with beat easier than with an manual automation. So i havent any auto-filtrer but just some filtrer.
Yeah sorry man I just don’t know enough about Cubase to help but I’m pretty sure it’s Phil’s main DAW at the moment so he should be able to help you
