Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 witg Mac and Ableton 8?

What is your experience of using Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 with Mac and Ableton 8? Are the drivers any good? Is it bus powered?



I’m using a MacBook Pro on OSX 10.6.8.



Also considering the Edirol UA-25.

Hi,

I’m using the Focusrite 2i2 on a PC, with Ableton 8, and I haven’t had any problems with it.  Works fine and sounds correct in my setup.  Had some interference coming through in the beginning, but that turned out to be a wiring issue. 

And: yes, it is powered through the USB-port.

Im also using it on a pc with Ableton 8 and i think its a really niece bit of kit, everything works and sounds good :slight_smile:

I recommend:

RME,Apogee,Motu,Focusrite,UAD



Apogee and Motu has always good drivers for MAC.

I do not recommend those audio cards:

M-audio,presonus,e-mu cards.
