Never expose the Transient Designer to bright lights, never put it in water, and never feed it after midnight.
Why be careful?
The Gremlins will get you if you dont beware!

What?
ableton compressor can do fair bit of transient designing
would someone kindly tell me what transient designing is please
A transient designer is a plugin that takes a sound and makes the initial attack of the sound more prominent. I use it often personally and it helps me bring put my sounds in a mix. Like an exciter though, you can’t over do it.

Transient Designing is when someone finds bums and drifters and gets them all dressed up in wacky outfits and parades them around for cash and prizes.

No it’s not. However, personally dude, I would avoid putting it on a kick. Ita great for other percussive sounds and leads and what not. Obviously, it wouldn’t serve of greater purpose on pads.
Transient designers are great for creating drum loops and can be used to not only increase but also decrease that transient of a sample helping to place it better in the loop.
the reason i said to be careful is because you can very easy wreck a sound or your monitors if you jump in and slam everything to max.
they also has a very nice stereo tool http://www.fluxhome.com/products/freewares/stereotool
