Free vst plugins? (Ableton Live 8)

Just wondering what would be recommended as neccessary vst plugins for Ableton Live 8. Preferably free ones, but in general the most essential.

Have you live suite or live?

Superwave and synth1 are both free and pretty decent. Only PC tho.

maybe i should clarify that I am running on a Mac, and i’m also a little confused on how to download these vst’s to ableton live SUITE.

The Suite version has all you need to make decent sounds… analogue can get pretty close to synth like sylenth1.

There arent as many free plugins for Mac as there are for PC but there are still a few… tyrell on your other post is a decent synth.
