I am really wondering, seems like this guy is cutting alot of samples, from disco loops? guitar hits? What other elements, some parts of fx effects? What else? :w00t:

While it doesn’t go at all into cutting up samples, SA’s French House with Cubase videos would be perfect for what you’re looking for. Even if you don’t use Cubase, you’ll get a lot out of the videos.

You may also find the Disco Loops video very useful, as it will give you some good ideas on how to make your own disco loops for sampling.

For chopping up samples, the Tech Disco videos do show that so they’d probably be pretty useful too.

Thanks, i shall check them out.

Drivepilot just rocksss, creates heat on the floor. Whenever I hear I go crazy from inside…

For french electro house you mainly must find the perfect samples , chop them of arrange them properly . You can hear those glitch-like chops in most of the proper tracks.

Some of the other artists that aproach a more trash sound usually go for a huge synth with pitchbend with drums in the back for example Karetus or Mustard Pimp.

Other artists go for the Complextro side of it and create a number of synths then they put it togheter . I hate complextro because it's basically just like a synth show-off and they tend to ignore musicality with a few exceptions. This is one of the exceptions:

If you want to make music like sebastian i suggest you go for a power synth like Sylenth or Arturia Minimoog and pass them through amp/distortion units . Maybe a friend has a marshall amp or just through software amps . Your choice . You can find elements of complextro and french electro in some of the tracks from Feed Me. He is using a real guitar which he modulates and distorts the **** out of.

The main synth line is a stratocaster. You can't really tell from the amount of editing but the thing is you should look for guitar samples for a more natural feel.

Hope this helps!

I’d love to see any course based around samples from old songs.
