I’m pretty pissed, lol not really but I am wanting to know how these french producers get their sound. Justice and other ed banger records artists etc. Can we get a tut on it or soemthing? Now there is a 14 yr old or something running around making this type of music called Madeon and I still have no clue. If you guys know any tips/tricks or tut’s chuck em in this thread!
BOOM LET SKO!
Got to agree on you with this one.
16 years old. Puts a track on soundcloud 6 days ago and already got 116864 plays!
this would great!!! bless this tutorial lol
Wow this kids only 16!?
unreel im loving this.
this genera is really new to me i reallly dig it ! this would be an awesome tutorial
it has so many plays because Deadmau5 tweeted + posted on facebook with the link.
if deadmau posts something. its gunna get heard. he just made that kid famous.
the track is sick tho. better than the mau’s version. thats for sure.
He got 30,000 plays in one day on soundcloud, after Pete Tong played his track on his radio show about a week ago. So he had quite a bit of exposure before deadmau5 started posting also. Really talented kid, and in my opinion it’s well deserved!
Fair play to the kid But it makes feel sick:hehe: I’m gonna give up lol
hey i just heard this young guys music!!

hes preety good but still has much to learn i don’t really care about the age hes only what 3 years younger than me only thing i dont like is how the dynamic range is bland in his productions too squashed imo other than that hes great!
Good on him!

HTSL Daft Punk - Revolution 909 ITB wouuld be nice too!

this is pretty accurate… i mean. age is only a number… but there is more then that. while a younger kid can learn software and play instruments and even write really great songs… they still have a LOT to learn about life. as 14/15 yr old kid isn’t gunna know what is going to make a crowd crazy in the club. they also arn’t going to know **** about how the way the world works. lots of cool people out there. but also a lot of scumbags as well.
he’s also about to get bombarded from every other JO producer that wants Deadmau5 to post their ****ty songs to his twitter/facebook. i’m sure he will get so many requests and people coming at him over the next few months/years he might have a hard time with it. all that attention when your 14/15 is not gunna be a good thing.
again thats not me saying his music isnt good. cause i think its wickedly awesome.
the whole french house sound is sample based. Justice, Daft Punk, Sebastian… All of them are gods when it comes to selecting & creating samples from other songs/whatever. I’d love to see the French House Tutorial in ableton get re-done or re-uploaded… it used to be on SA… but they had issues with it.
if you are really interested in French House sound… start trying to think of cool and creative places to take samples from and see what you can do with it. Sample based productions include a lot of audio-stretching, warping, processing… a lot of it is trial and error. so if your looking to make original music… get crackin cause practice makes perfect.
I did an edit of one of my fav daft punk songs
Daft Punk - Something about us (Kris Roberts Edit) by Kris Roberts
disco / funk / reggae samples, low pass filter, turn up the resonance… make sure you are using stuff that is lossless quality, making this sound as good ITB as the old daft punk stuff is the challenge

You’re 3 years older and already looking like that? Damn. You must have done a lot to age that hard
Besides that, you not liking the dynamic range is fine, but that’s simply the genre he’s making music in. That song is simply great. Otherwise deadmau5 wouldn’t have repped about it.
In addition, he being so young gives him another advantage. He can play/fiddle/try/****-around with his music stuff quite a bit more then older producers that have a daytime job…
UnitedVision (20/05/2011)
as 14/15 yr old kid isn’t gunna know what is going to make a crowd crazy in the club
Think this track of him will make lots of clubs go crazy. Think you’re being a bit crazy
My chest hair gets all the ladies!!!
Even deadmau5 told him not to squash the Dynamic that much as a tip on twitter lol but hey hes young he has alot to learned i started learning at his age and experimenting alot he found his sound and still has time to evolve it
subject 1 was in that movie with ted danson and the guy from magnum PI
