Funky & Disco House

Hi everyone,

This has probably been brought up already, just thought I’d add to the list. Is there any chance of a tutorial for some really good funky house, possibly a disco edge to it.

I see there’s a sample of a ‘Moto Blanco’ style track. Is there anything in future for a more detailed tutorial?

Anything along the lines of Freemasons, Moto Blanco, classic Bob Sinclar, classic Robbie Rivera or modern tracks such as Gramaphonzie.

+1, I was just going to post about this.

Here’s a classic: Bob Sinclar - I Feel For You - YouTube

know this one is a bit old but the same techniques still apply

dmitri from paris is also really good in this style, here’s one of his songs:

Why not a tutorial called HTSL Funkagenda?

I dunno I think funkagenda’s a bit more tech house sounding, bit different.

To be honest i haunt even listened to funkagenda to much i just like how the name rolls and have been recommend to listen to him by some cool katz.

I figure it probably is funky… but that its pretty tech house doesn’t suppress me… with a bit of funk i think we talkin a good time… But i dig this thread for sure. This would be gnarly. I would love to be able to get that dirty - electro funky bass line technique going…

not really sure any of the examples have a dirty electro bassline, but still def a +1

I would love an Olav Basoski tut. Techy driving sub bass with disco/funk samples over them.

would be amazing

The disco sampled house tracks in the past few years have seriously upped the game on the production front. LOL they make it look so easy. The most important part is getting the right sample and guess that means hours digging through vinyl in charity shops… always a mini adventure.
