Would love to see another SA comp again, think remix of parts made by SA would be good.

so i voted other as well as remix and own work.
I dig the write a riff idea. Like post 1 riff for each part of a track then we could do a remix comp utilizing the riff winners.
I can write riffs all day it’s this ‘whole track’ thing that I’m having issues with…

this could be a great idea, maybe a competition on writing the riff which could then go onto making the track as a second part of the competition.
im really struggling with riffs. -1 for that idea :unsure:
I just think the whole ‘remix’ idea would really work because it could work hand in hand with SA’s latest ‘How To Remix’ tuts.
Maybe we could even try remixing the same track that they remixed in the tuts?

I don’t know about that track though… Judging by his(the clown parlour dudes) demeanor in the behind the scenes vids, I think he’s “good” on remixes. he didn’t seemed very pumped that his track was getting reworked in those videos lol. I thought all 3 mixes were pretty damn cool.

i’m not a big fan of those vocals on the remix vids though.
all 3 of them are cool and great learning tools…
but I’d definitely prefer to remix something else… just my 2 cents

depends on how the comps run. meaning depending on who can vote… just the people involved in the comp… or all they know and all of facebook…?
original tracks would be the best i think. if its a remix comp tho, i think we all should have to remix the same tune. otherwise theres no real way to compare the tracks objectively.

i would say that only say subscribers should be able to enter or vote.

I think to avoid politics and favoritism SA shouldnt post the name of the track and the person who produced or remixed the track .
this will avoid people voting for his butt buddies
