GATING / Stuttering Audio

Hi guys I need a little help, ill drop you a link to a track to help you understand my requirements…

I am using Cubase 4 and need to know which plugin to use to achive a gated/stuttered sound on a vocal or a synth either via audio sample or via audio coming out of a midi instrament like minimoog etc.

Also where do I put the plugin do I add its as an Insert or create a FX send and put it on that

The bit Im trying to achieve starts about 1min 10secs in on the vocal

set it up as an insert and just resample 30secs or so then go in a pick out the good bits.

Ill try super trigga, Dblue does not give me good enough audio quilaty when trying this process, I have found a chopper with a sequence track which seems to be working more along the lines of what I am try to achive
