Getting rid of vinyl

Does anyone know of any places that buy old vinyl? I sold my decks a few months ago and literally have 1000’s of old vinyl ranging from house, breaks, hard house, trance electro blah blah blah.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Cheers,

Rob

I sold about 3000 on the internet 5 years or so back.

What I did was pull out the gems and sort them into genres. Then I knocked up a list of those and hit forums. My hard house and trance on the tidy trax forums, prog on the GU forums etc.

Then the rest I boxed up in 100’s and flogged on ebay. Took 10 or so decent ones and listed them, said the rest was a mix of good and crap and the just chucked 90 random ones in there. It’s a great way to get rid of those obscure promos and such like that no one would ever want in singles.

Selling my vinyl was the most soul crushing thing I’ve ever done in my life and I wish I’d kept them.

Yeah I appreciate that, but I sold my decks a while back and have all this vinyl kicking around that is unused. Someone else may as well get some fun out of it. But any tracks that I really love I’ll probably keep hold of … just in case.

I’ll try the tidy trax forum for the hard house & trance, I’ll probably get trolled though.

Thanks for the advice,

Rob

can’t bring myself to sell my desks even though i sold my mixer over a year ago lol

You know you need turntables to play vinyl Jon, not “Desks”

Tidy Trax had a dedicated forum for selling vinyl last time I was there.

You’ve very much missed the boat on selling vinyl anyways. There’ll be some die hards out there, but everyone loves digital too much these days.
