ultra is pretty beat after the first time you go… i’d rather be @ the beatport party…

but I might just be swinging it over to Ultra this year.

Armin Van Buuren - ASOT episode 500 anybody?
What???

Ultra is ghey???

You are sadly mistaken my friend.

It’s the biggest event of the whole conference.
definitely NOT mistaken. I didn’t say it wasnt a big event. i just said its beat after your first time.

ultra is beat cause of how expensive it is now. I went to ultra 3 times in a row and I went to the WMC 5 times in a row… The first time it was $55 dollars to get in. Now its like 200 for 2 days or some ****. thats ridiculous. I’d rather go to the BBC radio 1 pool party. or the beatport pool party. plus to howie’s point… it is a tourist attraction. I see & hear the same complaints from friends about EDC in california.

also cause you live in MIami its prob different for you. but going to Miami for WMC is so much more to me then just ultra, going to surfcomber, space, nikki beach, is all a huge experience of it for me. because i can’t go to that on the regular like you.just like you can’t go to Pacha in NYC or Glow in DC on the regular. even more of a reason that i was kinda pissed when they moved the conference.

just because you’re in miami, doesnt mean that it still isnt overpriced! I live in Orlando. I know its expensive in Miami. But so what, you have a big festival. The cool thing about the conference is that for a whole week, all day long and all night long, you can see some of your favorite dj’s on the planet playing for hours on end. I understand you get great djs coming in and out of miami, but you dont have them playing as much as they do during the conference. Ultra is old news man. It was great when it was at the beach and at Bayfront Park and Amphitheater. Now its just a commercialized mess. I don’t know how long you have been in the scene for, but it really gets old after 10 years bro.

Well, I won’t argue that you can have your own opinion, but to me Ultra is the highlight and I know I’m not alone. It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been in, as you say “The Scene” (that’s ghey to even question someone on that) but I could say the same about the clubs getting old. Actually, I could say the same about anything getting old after awhile. I love it because it’s where you get to see them go balls out on their stage show. The clubs are cool and all, but for me I love the festival. Never knew it cost $200, but I never had to pay (not bragging just have a connection) and I can see why that might be a turn off. However, you could run up twice that amount in 2 hours at Nikki Beach on drinks alone (have done this more than I’d like to admit). Also, as far as a tourist attraction, all of Miami is a tourist attraction, that’s why you keep coming because you my friend are a tourist so no matter where you go you’re a tourist.

at the WMC u sometimes don’t pay anything to see your favorite Dj . for example the Beatport pool Partys are 100 % free . most of the Djs they play there , play the same sets at the Ultra. and also there is the small events with new Artist that are just a treat . for example when i seen Boyz Noize rock it out for the first time in miami .

WMC is really awesome in that way .

IMO Ultra is for the young kids that are just getting to EDM scene . I am too old to stand all day waiting for my Djs , make long lines for the restrooms and not to mention all the kids consuming drugs in front of you . heehhehe.

Ultra is not like it used to be anymore .

little bump due to the other miami threads.
