Ok, i’m off to Miami in March, and my trip just so happens to coincide with WMC - not planned.
any recommends of where to go? what to catch, if I should sign up for any of the lectures?

dont go dude. barely anyone goes. I would go to the parties and do alot of networking. all of the main artists are out and mingling with everyone. there are pool parties and events going on all day long.
3 things you gotta check out.
- BBC Radio One - Pool Party. This was the sickest party I have ever been to. When i went the lineup was: (Deep Dish, Axwell, Prydz, Steve Angello & Sebastian Ingrosso, Cedric Gervais, Pete Tong and more…). This is seriously one of the best parties. I think this year it is like BBC @ sURfcomber. That’s the name of the venue. The Surfcomber.
- Nikki Beach. This is a pretty well known spot. They have some insane parties here. Besides Space in Miami, this is the other big hot spot. I would check this out before I went to Space. Nikki Beach is legendary. Getting a pitcher of Mojitos to your face and walking around with it is a memory that is hard to forget!
- Beatport Pool Party - this party always has some of the latest & greatest artists & DJs. definitely worth checking this party out. I always have a blast when I go!
The Beatport Pool party are the best ones IMO !! it is free plus u get free BP promos.

Nikki beach is way to overpriced. and the sound system is just horrible. i rather go to space with better sound system .

yah I think i am actually. 1 of my best friends lives in Fort Lauderdale, so I am gunna go stay with him.
originally I wasn’t gunna go, but a whole bunch of my friends are, and I figured out how 2 do it cheap.
we will have 2 meet up howie!
I was supposed to go this year but lack of funds has stopped that, my friend is doing PA out there again.
Doubtful, I can hit the parties to be honest as will have family in tow (really wasn’t planned it’s literally the only weekend we can be there), but will try.
However if there is going to be a few of us from the forum there we should all try and meet for a coffee or beer at some point - names to faces and all that 
If you are looking for just a cool place to sit and have a drink then check out Felt. It’s my cousins bar. It’s just a small bar/pool hall right across the street from the Mansion.
Wish I could be there. I remeber when I lived there Ultra was right across the street from my apartment in Bayside. It was the coolest thing to be able to see the whole show from my balcony. God I miss Miami.

TBH its because its fcking expensive as sht. Not any more so then any other vacation, but I just don’t have the chips to blow on that right now. But Ultra is ghey dude. I would go to the conference though. Way more fun and so much more going on.
i went 5 yrs in a row… but I didnt go last year. so this would be my 6th time.
ultra is pretty beat after the first time you go… i’d rather be @ the beatport party…
but I might just be swinging it over to Ultra this year.

the best party’s are the ones in the WMC week for sure . plus u get to network and hang out with the best Underground Djs . Ultra is way to commercialized and expensive .

100% on that one man. Ultra is way overpriced. Its like the “tourist spot” or whatever, where as the veterans know that the real parties are at the clubs and hotels and stuff. Ultra is so overpriced. If I wanted to see PVD play, I would rather see him play a 4 hour set at Space than pay $160 to see him play for 45 minutes like he did a couple years ago at Ultra.

Ummm,
I’m from Miami. So partying at the hotels and stuff is an everynight occurance. Not really a big deal. I guess for you it must be, but for us it never was. We don’t get big festivals very often so in our eyes (the locals) we like Ultra. And by the way, every thing in Miami is expensive, not just Ultra. But being a local gets you in everywhere for little to nothing so I’ve never really had to worry about it.
