I tend not to criticise much in the world of electronic music. I prefer to talk about the positives than grumble about the negatives, but this is just ***…br

When did it become standard to lower the volume every time there is a vocal so the crowd can sing along? Also, what is with all the mic these days?br
br
This video disheartens me.
Yes, it can be disheartening!br
br
But like you say, i guess you just have to try and ignore this and let them get on with it, and focus on the positives!br
br
There sure is some dodgy stuff going on right now though!
dance music culture has spilled over in to the mainstreem for the 3rd time in my lifetime.br
br
late 80s late 90s and now.br
br
it will last a few years then go back round again. in between there is normally a transition to deep more percussive stuff then when everyones bored of that it will go back again.br
br
I love it when it goes mainstream… the quality of production seems to go up… obviously you get lots more crap too but i think there are some awesome tunes/artists about right now.br
br
could use a new prodigy, leftfiled, faithless or chem bros or something tho. only thing this cycle is lacking is a really good live band.
I guess the big difference this time though, might be that the Americans have got in on the act!br
br
And you know what generally happens when the Americans got hold of something!
