The software and web site has been updated as well.
I have mixed feelings about the actual program on the one hand it has the potential to apeal to anyone who hasn’t the time to invest in learning chord structures/progressions and voice leading etc but on the other it feels like painting by numbers and indirectly stifles creativity imo.
I know what you mean. I got something similar(ish) called Harmony Navigator and I’ve been very careful not to blindly rely on it. I like to mess around with it till I find something I like, then look into the theory behind it and see what I can learn from that.
