this new website where budding DJs can just buy tunes, including the rights to put their own name to it to promote their DJing career. I think it’s absolutely disgusting, everything that is wrong with the industry right there…br

I am still trying to figure out whether this is a hoax or not?br
br
I emailed them to try and find out, and from there response, it seems as though it might be a hoax?br

They said that they didn’t currently have any tracks to offer - so the fact that they have spread the word that they are doing this, without actually having any tracks, makes me think that it’s just something someone has done as a kind of parody/satire on the state of the dance music production industry these days.br

I don’t think it’s a proper service!
I really hope so. I know a lot of DJs that essentially do this by sitting with somebody who produces for them, but at least there’s some input in that process.br

The problem is, even if it is a satire, it’s actually an idea that i could see catching on!
Well like you say, i’m sure this kind of thing is already going on in a massive way anyway, even if DJ’s are just sitting there pitching in the odd comment now and then, it’s pretty much the ghost producer doing all the work and who has all the skill and expertise to produce - so it’s no different really!br

This kind of thing has always been happening, so it probably won’t make much difference to be honest.
