Hi guys,br
br
I’m in the market for new headphones and I was wondering if I could get an opinion. I currently have the SHURE SRH440 which are really uncomfortable. My price range is a little higher and I’m looking for a little bit better quality. I’ll be using them for producing music for the most part, and sometimes transcribing songs.br
br
My friend recommended these as a next step up! http://vintageking.com/beyerdynamic-dt-770-pro-250-ohmbr
br
They seem okay, but I wanted a second opinion. I’ll be producing more then just dance also. I really don’t want any headphones that require an amplifier and I can just plug them into my interface.br
br
Any suggestions would be appreciated!br
I always say the same thing when people ask about headphones, if they’re for indoors music production (cause they’re open backed) I just cant look past these br

They were £250 ($400) when I bought them and I’d happily pay that and more for them.

Really like the AKG’s.br
Nice fit with the big cups.
Sennheiser HD650’s are really worth looking at. Very comfortable and the sound quality is amazing. I’ve had mine for over 5 years now and the sound as good as ever.
i personally use sennheiser hd 25II. they are awesome and i recommend them highly.
Headphone short listbr
AKG702br
Beyer Dynamics DT880br
Sennheiser HD650br
br
Any of those and you’re therebr
br
I’m currently working with AudioTechnica ATH-m50’s because I got a very good price and I wanted them for DJ’ing.br
br
I spent a good few months toying over which headphones to buy and my next set for production will be either of those 3 above depending on deals at the time.
ATH-m50x would be another pair to add to the list
My advice: Test some pairs. Sennheiser, Beyerdynamic, AKG and several others all offer good or very good headphones. You have to find the right pair that works for you!
