Helium-Wolgang Gartner

would like to know how to program the synth sound which comes in at 36 seconds into the sound. sounds like a chord, with a fast lfo modulating the filter

hey tommy for me sounds like saw wave and square synth together detuned a 5th .also sounds the the filter envelope closes and gives that deep kind of synth sound.

i am not sure but maybe experimenting with ur synth might get u closer to that sound.

well hopefully that little info helps

ive tryed many times but it always turns out sounding bad, its probably really simple though, ive tryed exactly what you recommended with no luck. def sounds like a little chord action going on

ill keep plugin away, just feel like i should be able to spot this and recreate by now

synths have a different Filter Character too that might make it sound different . but I sincerely lost too eheh. well i will keep an eye and see if someone figure this out. :stuck_out_tongue:

it seems like its really simple doesnt it

yep:)

There’s probably a Bitcrusher on it too?

Yeah I think that too

I know wolfgang likes to makes sounds that you cant quite think oh thats a saw wave with detuning etc…, i know he likes using alot of modulation options, sounds like it could be ring modulated some way or other, possiable square wave, then mess with all modulation options, with some sort of lfo action…

Or - You could upload it to YouTube, then sample it - Instant Bitcrushing!

hopefully brian or phil will tackle this one, ive been trying every once and awhile for about 8 months to get this

anybody else for this one?

+1 also wondering

Thats a really good tune with really nice sounds … Would love to know how its done

brian, phil, care to tackle this one?

I literally went to the forums to ask about this same guy. Figures SA is on the ball! :stuck_out_tongue:

Wolfgang Gartner is a beast.

I had a different song in mind.

I wanted to know how he chops up the sounds and plays them the way he does in this track:

Wolfgang Gartner - Undertaker (Original Mix)

I’m not positive, but it sounds like the pitch is being modulated by an LFO set to 16th notes. The amount that it’s modulating is fairly small though. Just enough to give it a bit of that wobble.

It’s hard to tell with Wolfgang though. He’s been making **** since he was 13, so I’m sure he’ll always keep us guessing.

i think by the sounds of it you want the lfo to control the Freq Cut off but its the depth of the cut off you’ll need to play with to get it sounding right for speed i would try 1/128 once you have the basic shape of the sound then experiment with distortions and wave forms. remember to play with the mix levels of the waveforms as this can have a huge effect on the end result and change a sound in many ways
