Right, have got my new monitors speakers set up and everything sounds how it should running through my macbook. However, as soon as I decide to plug in my externnal TFT monitor screen (using mini DVI to VGA adaptor), there’s quite a bad buzzing noise. I’d like to use the external TFT screen to give me more space in terms of all the windows I’m using in Logic but the buzzing is loud enough to be annoying and noticeable, even with sound running through the speakers. As soon as I unplug the TFT from the Macbook, the buzzing disappears.
I’ve tried changing the kettle lead that plugs into the TFT as well as trying different sockets to plug it into, but the buzzing doesn’t disappear. The only thing I haven’t tried is a new VGA lead.
Does anyone have any suggestions/solutions? Its not the end of the world of course, but having another screen is really quite useful and it seems silly to waste a spare TFT screen.
Any help would really be appreciated!
