I’ve been asked to do another mix CD for a big fashion chain here in Oz. The music they play is generally commercial pop/electro/vocal. Their market is 14-28 year old girls.
The owner is trying to slip in some cooler music, yet wants something that is recognizable to their audience.
I don’t have it in me to download cheezey vocal chart/pop *****, so i need to find some decent remixes of commercial stuff. Think deep house/Indie/Nu-Disco remixes of chart stuff or vocal tracks that the masses would recognize.
To give you an idea i found a cool deep house remix of “when doves cry” by Prince…
Alternatively if you can think of any good music that would cross over to their target audience please make some recommendations as i’ve been working away and completely forgot i needed to get the tracklist over to them today!
