Mac Pro (not Macbook Pro) would be the best solution.
To start out, you can get just about any Mac.
First off, do you need to be mobile or do you want to sit at a desk all the time. If you need to be mobile, get a Macbook Pro. They will range depending on your budget, but even the weakest one is suitable for most peoples needs. As you get more experience, you will most likely see the need for more processing power. However, you will also learn how to bounce to audio, and doing other cpu saving techniques, will come in the future.
I do think a Mac Pro would be overboard. Especially if you are a beginner.
iMac - More for your money than macbook, bigger screen.
Macbook Pro - Portable.
If you don’t really need it to be portable then go for iMac / mac pro.

Yup… Macbook Pro or iMac.
Mac Pro is overkill…Unless you’re planning on making Avatar 2 with it!
