Partly because it free and also I reckon my laptop would explode if i ran max. live and and the template together - however will try out isotronic when i order my new lappy at the end of the month

cheers dude tried the free one as i dont have max for live but could not get it to work all the samples were offline and it just kept letting out random piano noises i looked in the sample folder and there was only a kick sample (not that i know what they would be for lol when i thought you would just drop your own tracks in did you have any probs mate
reckon i will just study it and do my own from scratch

Well choosing Ableton + APC 40 you have to understand that its take time “prepare” your sets/gig,
- Waprping tracks (very time consuming)
- Buy or create a template for your DJ workflow (as i said before for me Isotonik is a perfect solution)
- Understanding APC 40.
hope it answers some of your questions, if i come up with more i will edit this post

Out of interest how many can you warp an hour - I just hit 10
I’d get a maschine over the apc40.
