Help with kicks and bass - Hard Dance & Tech Trance

Hi all

New subscriber. Love the site and happy to have paid for the gold subscribtion already!

I started djing 3 year ago playing hard dance around the north east, UK, after hearing tracks by ASYS (Frank Ellrich) and Kamui (Dominik Felsmann & Patrick Scheidt).

Their tracks inspired me to learn how to produce my own stuff to play, which led me here, to cut a long story short

Maybe there is not enough demand for a tutorial but maybe some advice on some elements of their tracks?

Any tips on how replicate the kicks and the bass would be great

which bass are you after?

have you checked the hard dance tutorial?

the glitch step might help also

Its the low end of the track that grabs me most of all, it sounds like a kick without the click with reverb, im guessing.

heres another example.

yeah ive had a look at those tutorials, will be looking at the glitch step in more depth later today.

Any help with elements of any of the tracks ive linked would be great Bryan. Cheers mate

Anth

Never mind lol

+1

Yeah… I’d be interested in that too.

Kick with lots of reverb. The Bottom is EQ’d out of them to make way for the bass underneath?

Can you do a Tech Tip on it Bryan?

A ‘how to sound like’ would be great. I’m obsessed with this sound, so ambient and euphoric

ill try and do a tech tip on this this week!

Nice one Bryan!

What do you reckon about showing us how to get the Kick / reverb thing going on a Kick like this?

Its from a sample pack that I have:

http://www.zshare.net/audio/892082863326c308/

Was asking Phil about it there a week or 2 ago…

Would you accept the challenge?

Awesome! Cheers

Any news on this tech tip?

Get sylenth1 in the adam van baker soundset grab the patch Galaxia, take a low pass filter and remove pretty much all the highs, viola, you have a very low sounding stringy/bass sound, how low can you go :stuck_out_tongue:

sorry for delay in dealing with this as a tech tip but it will require it!

as soon as i get round to doing some tips this is top of the list

Cheers Bryan

Cheers mate, will give it a good later
