Hey just looking for any thoughts on getting a low bass to sound as tough as the one in hardwells new track, its probably the best bass I have heard in a long time, it sounds massive and so solid on anything you listen to it on,
I guess my main question is how can I make a bass that will hit this hard on most systems, I have tried using a sine wave under my bassline but just doesn’t have the same effect and even if the spectrum of my track fills outs roughly the same frequencies still cant match how solid his bass is.
Any ideas would be great.
Hardwell Three Triangles
Hardwell 'Three Triangles' (Original Club Mix) - YouTube low bass kicks in at 2mins
the sub part sounds pretty standard… there are extra 2nd and 3rd order harmonics that are giving it the weight so just adding a sine wont work for that low mid punch.
I made a waveform (TriSub) in ANA to try to get this sort of thing. try using it to layer with your bass… its a filtered saturated triangle that has some nice harmonics that can fill things out a bit.
Ok thanks phil I will give that a go
