Right, have got my new monitor speakers set up and everything sounds how it should running through my macbook. However, as soon as I decide to plug in my external TFT monitor screen (using mini DVI to VGA adaptor), there’s quite a noticeable buzzing noise that starts eminating from my new speakers.
I’d like to use the external TFT screen to give me more space in terms of all the windows I’m using in Logic 8, but the buzzing is loud enough to be annoying and noticable, even with sound/music running through the speakers. As soon as I unplug the TFT from the Macbook, the buzzing disappears.
I’ve tried changing the kettle lead that plugs into the TFT as well as trying different sockets to plug it into, but the buzzing doesn’t disappear. The only thing I haven’t tried is a new VGA lead.
Does anyone have any suggestions/solutions? Its not the end of the world, of course, but having another screen is really quite useful and it seems silly to waste a spare TFT screen.
Any help would be really appreciated! Apologies for repeating the post that is in general discussions…am hoping for a quick reply by someone in the know!
Cheers!
