Help

I’m trying to fill in a budget sheet as part of one of my college units. This bit of coursework is about my designed hypothetical studio, in my live room i put in those curved wooden panels and on the ceiling there is hanging (cloud) wooden panels too which are sloped, all of which is to help scatter frequencies and help give the live room a nice reverb.

HOWEVER it’s all well and good doing this and jotting this down, but i can’t find anywhere on Google anywhere or anyone who sell this kind of set up.

Do any of you know of anyone or anywhere that could fit a studio like this? Basically i need to get an idea on cost as well as having some kind of link to add to my 'bibliography.

Any help much appreciated!

A carpenter ?

Karens Brother?

All well and good saying ‘carpenter’, i did think about that but again a google search just comes up with carpenters who ‘call for quote’. I’m not calling someone up to tell them to quote me on a make believe studio haha.

Besides I don’t know if they’d be able to deliver as it’s quite a specialist job.

make it up

Jesus was a carpenter? Maby a little prayer and a church session is in order?

It was his Dad.

Jesus was the hippy stoner son.

A good place to start would be the Acoustics forum over at EQ Magazine. Ethan Winer hangs out there and will probably answer a post quickly. You’re talking about “poly-cylindrical diffusers,” and are relatively simple to make with the right tools and a good mathematical sense. I’m not sure how much one would cost…

You could do a search for those types of diffusers, or perhaps “sound baffles,” maybe even “sound diffusion products” and get at least 10 companies that could send you a quick quote if you tell them why you need it.
