Hey, so I was watching the Peak Time Trance tutorial and I am at Tutorial 11 - Verse Riff right now. The instructor said that we need to make the verse riff based on the rhythm of the track and doing anything otherwise would cause it to sound off and confused. My question though is how can I tell what the rhythm in a track is? I am really bad with rhythm in general so this would help a lot.
Thanks for your time.
i know this wont help much but you just got to try and feel the rhythm.
close your eyes and listen… empty your mind and see if you can pick up on the vibe.
for me when i hear a track i kinda always hear a complementing rhytm… it might not be the best one so i do it again until its right.
if it helps do a kinda scat over the track… bap ba bada bapidy bada bap etc. then try to keep repeating it until it sinks in then try to put the notes so it fits with what your scating.
eventually you will do this all automaticly and you will just beable to pick out the right rhythm and play it. has only taken me 20 years to get there.

I will definitely try that thanks again for all the help you’ve given me and it’ll probably take me longer haha
