How did you earn the funds to create your production studio?

I am an independent contractor who does driving for a lawfirm delivering subpoenas in the morning to lunch time (really fun job, i get to dress up like a mormon and go door to door faking spreading the word then deliver the subpoenas :P:D:hehe::cool::D:D), then in the afternoon i deliver pizza in in Beverly Hills.

Raised enough money in 8 months to buy my loaded 17" Macbook Pro, 40" TV which i use as my monitor screen, NI Maschine, KRK speakers, room treatment, NI audio interface, headphones Focusrite VRM, MIDI keyboard, 10 slot USB hub

Looking for other things to add to my studio… suggestions?

Next step is DJing equipment!

How did you do it?

Used to work part time at an audio shop, might not be the best $, but at least get gear at like 60% off, all that stuff is so so marked up. It’s ridiculous. I always try to keep in good contact with ppl that work in audio sales, never hurts to ask them for a discount:D

i sold my soul to the man - always works.

Being a poor charity worker (start playing violins now) it’s a struggle - however I was given some extra hours which basically comes too about 4oo quid extra a month so that goes straight in to a savings account which I use for anything music related - unfortunately that could end this fiscal year

I have a webcam set up, people pay good money to see me. Slender pays me £400 per month :w00t:

I started spamming Music Production websites & getting paid for boosting ratings on google.

I run a small business - an IT consultancy. I have spent this year expanding which has meant working much harder and, because of employing staff, I actually have less money.

Music production has taken a back seat this year, but I still make some time every week.

i think i should do that too.

I earnt the money for music producing in a very simply way really, all i did was basically not sit around on internet forums and ask other people how they did it it…

Jan got his money from being in Animal Farm II

He played the role of the cow’s ar5e

LOL

He did a sh!t job - was very convincing

I thought he got his money from visiting forums and being a windbag

I bought my First pro keyboard by working as a seamster in a clothes factory making womens clothes for marks and spencer and next.

Then i made leaded glass windows - that hurt a lot… loads of sliced hands from carrying the glass about.

then a music store… defo a good idea… got a ton of gear over the 3 years i worked there… bargain central.

did some demo work for roland too that got me an MC505 and SP808
