How do I make stuff drop like 2:23
its all about dynamics… i.e. loud vs quiet.
youll notice just before it kicks in its all dropped away to just a reverb tail and a hi cut riser.
when it kicks in the impact of the bass etc. coming in sound much bigger as there was such limited freqs and stuff before.
so do I just automate the volume and raise the reverb?

Just a sweep effect with a hi pass filter on it.
I sometimes wonder about this too so basically a lot of low frequency and volume is cut out in the breakdown and then when the drop comes in the low’s come into it?
yeah… when your in a club the bass is sooooooooo important.
if you arent maximizing the drama by dropping it totally out and back in you are really not making the most of it.
in those build up sections you shouldn’t really have anything under 800k in the very last bit just before it kicks.
