How do i save my custom sounds in Ableton's Browser?

After i’ve created an audio EFX in live, i want to save it to add it to my custom sounds library. Do i need to bounce the track to this folder or is there an easier way? I tried dragging it out but to the browser but this only seems to create an als. file.

thank u!

Hey there.

What exactly is it that you want to save, a piece of audio that you have added some effects to? Or a set of effects that you want to then be able to use on other things?

If it’s pure audio, then you can just drag the audio clip to anywhere in your Ableton browser.

If it’s audio that you have added fx too, you will need to resample that (add a new audio channel, choose resample from the ‘Audio From’ drop down) play the original and click record on the new one.

Then drag this resulting audio clip to anywhere in your Ableton browser.

If it’s the effects chain/set up you want either click on the individual disk icons in the top right of each one, or if you want them all saved but as one entity put them all into an audio effect rack or an instrument rack and then save that via the same method.
