Does it all have to be programmed then you just transition in a way of just some knob and selecting your song tracks… there just has to be some smooth transitions opposed to GAPS of silence which isn’t good for live performance to a crowd.
Anyone know if it just ALL needs to be ready to go on the EMX-1 then you have it setup with your sequenced pattern but what if one keyboard synth isn’t being used (o rmaybe even just reusing the same keyboard analog synth but making it changes its synth quickly for the next song) OR your next song is about to use the new keyboard analog synth like a MicroKorg Keyboard with its synth already chosen on it , just let me know the easiest way to set this Live Setup.
Or does it act more intelligent meaning the microKorg will allow you to select it’s synth sound you want on the fly or by triggering it from the EMX Korg to re-assign its synth choice from a current one to a different one for the next song you are triggering to start playing? This all needs to be done quickly I would think for transitioning.
I am after reading you’re post 3 times now an im really confused…
not sure I get what ya mean but ill try help.
i think you’re emx is set up to stop in between presets, there is a way of switching this on and off (don’t ask me how, its been years since iv switched mine on and i only ever done this once)
normally if you use the big transport knob in the top left that you use for scrolling through presets as its playing it will seamlessly play from one preset to the next without stopping (make sure you’re bpm lock is on cuz if the 2 bpms of the tracks are not the same it will just jump up or down, normally sounds really bad when this happens)
Normally if i was programming a live set on an emx id put song 1 on lets say ‘‘blank preset 1’’`…
for track 2 i would put it on ‘‘blank preset 3’’…
track 3 on blank preset 5 and so on…
then on blank preset 2 i would take small elements of both track 1 and 2 to create a mash up of both tracks to make the transition sound more like a mix…
So after I preformed track one id just click the big transport knob one place to the right bringing me into my ‘‘mash up’’ mess about in there for a bit introducing the new elements of track 2 then click forward on to track 2 and preform that track.
Hope this helps.
