Hey, I am working on a mashup and I have filtered out the bass and such where appropriate but my problem is balancing the levels, so far I keep both of them at 0 and put a limiter on both channels as well as the master, low the master to like -10db and then normalize upon export.
I just want to know if it sounds without flaw to you guys. Thanks

TBH im not really familiar with the 2 tracks so its hard to tell really.
There are a couple of places where you can tell there are some cut edits that dont seem to flow. But the track sound fine in most places.
This is just my opinion but i dont really see a need for this type of mashup… i think they work better when you have 2 tracks that sound different but when you put them together you get something special.
I also think Dance track+ Vocal type mashups are much more interesting. than dance track vs dance track.
Sorry if this a bit negative feedback but its only my opinion… others maybe enjoy it!

Thanks a lot for your response Phil. I agree, the reason I made this mashup was because the first track is really edgy while the second is really mellow but I see what you are saying, I will try to do vocal mashups from now on. Thanks again.
Phil is spot on.
Often mash-ups are created to give a popular track a club groove. Think of Lady Luck from Jamie Woon. Lots of bootlegs/edits/mashes of this one.
Then there is of course the entire back catalog of the Cut Up Boys

Yes, but Armin, Markus Schulz, Tritonal, etc… all make mashups of dance tracks…and most pop songs mashed with a dance track tend to be very terrible, but thats besides the point. Just saying that mashing trance is viable as well, that’s how Metropolis (On A Good Day) came about, but it seems that they’re always vocal with non-vocal.
