I just started a new track and I am trying to go for a Nitrous Oxide/Super8 & Tab type uplifting trance feel. I have been told by a few people that this is very “amateur” and I’d like to know what you guys think I can do to make it sound better and be more professional. Thank you for your time.

has who ever told you your track is amateur ever listened to music? it’s not fine polished mate but you have some good foundations, clean sounds and smooth transitions…
some heavy duty FX would make all the drops sounds alive. I left you some comments on your SC, good luck man.

thank you, a friend of mine told me the clap doesn’t fit, do you think I should switch it out?
Hi Pal,
From that short snippet there you’ve definitely got some good stuff to work with. I’d like to hear the full version (if you have one of course!) to see where you go with it
Your kick is cuttin through nicely, nice sharp attack on it.
I would try and add some variance to the pad at times though personally, there’s not much goin on and it is a prominent part of the tune so I would have a mess about and try and get some interestin sounds from it…its got to be worth a try at least
I really like the electro bassline bit you have though, think you could create some serious impact after a massive uplifting breakdown if thats your intention with it!
I’ll follow you on soundcloud…i’m dj shiva1404.

thanks, I agree about the pad I will try to add some fx, maybe turn up the phaser. the point of the bassline is to add prominence to the drop, like most nitrous oxide songs, I don’t like it by itself but with uplifting pads/plucks it sounds very good. and thanks for the follow, :D.
