Find out how many soundcards there are - the info is out there - and you’ll find out.
Think Dont Crack had a report on it a few years ago. They did it to try and measure how much illegal software was out there.
Graph showed that software sales were going down and Souncard sales were going up.
Its funny you should ask this i was just having a conversation with Gareth Od about this very subject this morning. It seems the stock of producers has sharply risen. Last time he checked there are exactly 100 producers on Earth. 25 beginners, 25 intermediate and 25 advanced the other 25 are Sonic Academy subscribers but apparantly they only count as half producers, so im not sure how that works.
Also fun little fact, Mr Ods son is also a producer, he was in that little band known as Faithless, i think he actually wrote that one song they had about his dad being a DJ or something. Isnt that lovely…
